Santa Came To Play Basketball

It was one week before Christmas, when all through the courts. All you could hear was the merriest of sports, basketball. With Christmas around the corner, Newport Aces hosted its annual ‘Santa Hat’ community basketball session.

Our ‘Santa Hat’ sessions have always been popular, due to a mixture of basketball, selection boxes and a fun, festive environment. This year we had a special surprise for everyone.

Being a basketball fanatic himself, Santa Claus himself came to have a shootaround with us. Basketball is truly where the amazing happens, surprisingly Santa is a great player and a highflyer.

He was crossing over defenders, posting up taller players, assisting baskets, interacting with the crowd, and reminding players about being good sports women and men.

A big thank you to Santa, we really appreciate him sparing some time to hoop with us, during this busy time of year.
